AnnieP
Well, the inevitable has happened and now I have a dilemma.... My darling favourite, Izzy died this morning of old age. This leaves me with Crockett alone in her yellow eglu, and my 6 ex bettery thugs in the cube.... What on earth do I do? Now, I know you are all going to scream at me, "get two more for the Eglu".... BUT, Crockett is old and I am not sure it would be wise to inflict tweo youngsters on her. If I put her in with the battery girls, she is going to be bullied mercilessly I fear, as they are younger and really fiesty. I don't want her to have a heart attack, poor old thing. Would she be happy on her own within sight of the others? I don't like the thought of that, to be honest. Ideas? (I can sense a visit to a breeder coming on here ). Cooks
sorry to hear about Izzy there was a lady asking for an older hen to go with hers for their retirement in the wanted section. I know you may not want to rehome her, but I thought I would mention it anyway. Maybe there are some older hens that would like to join her if not?? edited to add the request for an older hen in the wanted senction is now sorted
Plum
Sorry to hear your news . Perhaps if you chose bantams she would cope with new girls? Are they a bit easier to live with?
