juliagoolia
Oh my god what a day... We got up thinking that Harriet had broken her leg.. we were up very early for us as a result!(7am) By 10am Harriet was standing up and walking about by 11am. We were so relieved and thanks to some helpful advice here we avoided a vets bill.. To top the day off Harriet has thanked us for taking care of us by laying her first Could it be that it was just a balance issue and there was nothing wrong with her leg. We have only had them for six days and my emotions are all over the place. I was crying when I thought she had hurt her leg and now I am crying again because she laid her first egg. Here's to keeping chickens.. although they should come with a warning that they worm their way into your heart almost overnight...

juliagoolia
I think we are all equally thrilled and relieved. At least if matilda goes off her legs we will know why..
