fluffyknickers
On holiday last week in the New Forest we vistied Monkey World and had a lovely time. Whilst having our picnic there were some chickens roaming around and they were al lovely part from one who was white and its bottom was disgusting, completely caked in poo all thick and crusty and dried solid from the vent down. I do have a photo so when camera charged will put it on here. I was wondering if this is normal for some chickens or if means its poorly and I should contact Monkey World or keep my nose out! Margalot
They need to get that sorted or the poor hen will suffer from flystrike this time of year! I went into my garden yesterday and the amount od blue bottles sitting on their poo was incredible!! The hen needs a bath!,
Egluntyne
Definitely ring them. They might not be aware.
sadietoo
Hi, I was at Monkey World with DD on Monday. I don't know how many chickens they have (we saw four) but the white one we saw had a spotless rear-end so hopefully it is the same one and they have sorted it
*mummy_hen*
I would ring them and mention it - as others said they may not be aware and they need to get it sorted quickly.
