4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Hi guys (figuratively speaking!),

 

We're due to collect our 4 girls soon.. (yipeeee)

 

As we will be collecting from two separate farms - two separate breeds all should

all be around 8-9 weeks old, should we collect in two separate boxes & introduce them

once we back home? Picking up from 2x Devon farms, home in Oxfordshire - really

don't want any squabbles in the car

 

Any suggestions would be really welcomed.

It doesn't really matter, you could do it either way, the only thing is you might want to check both sets over for lice etc, before introducing them.

We collected two Hybrid POL chickens from a breeder and then went to another breeder to collect a Silkie, we put them in the box all together and then straight into the Eglu.

 

We had no problems and all three girls have settled in nicely.

Thanks for the feedback.. sounds like we should be fine with them being altogether

can't wait to get them.... one more sleep & yes.. arrives...

I think you'd be fine to put them all into the cube at the same time, then they are all new to the house, and there won't be any overly dominant ones.
