Blimey.... we don't have our girls yet & already reading the posts on the

forums are taking over my life

 

has arrived today.. so OH & I will be building that later today

 

Planning to go to the Devon County Show end of May - on way back collect our chucks.. I hope

 

Been reading about all the egg arrivals today.. at this rate I'll be broody myself

Whilst you're down in Devon - if you have time you must visit the Devonshire Traditional Breed centre in Crediton just outside of Exeter. It has loads of beautiful hens to look at (and buy ), farm shop and cafe.

Oooh, I had many happy childhood visits to the Devon County Show. Like you I'm in Oxfordshire now, but don't half fancy another visit... we used to be allowed to have Friday afternoon off school (in Exeter) to go to the show, which seems unbelievable now! The sheep tent is my favourite. Have fun, and I hope you find some lovely chickens!

Its great filling up the cube with new chickens I have 5 but can see why more would be good!

So glad got a ..I was only getting 3 that ended up 5!!!! I just had to have a bluebelle ...

Thanks Indie, we're really looking forward to getting

they will be cosy in there, we are only getting 4 (well that's

the current plan ). I'm also wondering if they'll be able to

I had the same worry, I had my 4 girls on Tuesday with a , it took them a few attempts but now they are all ladder experts!

 

Just waiting for that elusive 1st egg!

 

As for forum taking over your life, Indie999, my husband has been looking at new laptops, as he's said he doesn't get a look in with the computer as I'm always on here He's said the chooks are proving far more expensive than he imagined

As for forum taking over life.. VERY fortunate but my OH does have his own laptop - which

believe me is a very good thing.. but I'm not sure how long I'll have an OH for at this rate
