tidygirlsuk
I want to let the flock out in a bit for a free range but my husband has been removing patio slabs today to do a new patio next week however we've got loads of ants and he put ant powder down. Will my chickens be safe ? ant powder contains 0.5% w/w permethrin as a dustable powder.

Lewis
I'd avoid it if I were you. My aunt had ants coming into the kitchen, and was told to use Dettol spray, so you could try that instead of any powder next time.
Raina
We normally use Boiling water to kill them, works everytime On another chook forum, quite a few people use ant powder to kill red mite
