4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Hi,

 

Our hybrids are 2 years old and have only laid the odd egg, and many of them soft/deformed, over the last month or so.

 

Is this the end of their egg laying?

Mine are about 2 years old, and we're still getting 1 egg a day off each of them.

 

Have they been wormed recently and do they have enough calcium?

Mine too are over 2 years, well 3 of them are & we get eggs every day. We worm ours regularly too.

Our older girls are -

 

Bounty - Magpie

Rolo - Black rock

Smartie - White leghorn

We worm them with Flubenvet every 3 months. In addition to layers pellets they have oyster shells available. They tend to free range all day, I'm thinking of keeping them in the run and only letting them out for a couple of hours? They seem quite happy still, digging up any part of the garden I don't want them too

Mine stopped whilst they had a severe moult - we were worried about them as they looked so sad. But they came back all better than ever markings & fluffy knickers galore & full of beans!

I have hens of varying ages.

 

2 x 3 years

2 x 2.5 years

1 x 2 years

1 x 18 weeks

and I'm getting an egg a day from all of them about from Alice who has peritonitis, even the 3 year olds are poppin em out like anything.

Glad to hear this - I've been getting loads of softies recently and was hoping it was just a blip .
