I've tried so many times to load an avatar on to my profile and it never works . I've read the blurb on how to do it and I still can't do it. Is it something I can't see but you guys can?

I also tried to set up a picture but had an error message saying that the picture was the wrong size.

 

Do I need to post a picture onto a site on the internet and then post it into the avatar or will it work from a file on my PC ?

Hi,

 

No, the picture can be on your computer and doesn't have to be off the internet. It does need to be a certain size - width: 80 pixels, height: 80 pixels, file size: 11.86 KiB. If it's on your computer, you'll see there's a "Browse" box when you go to your profile and choose the avatar option on the left. You should be able to find the photo by searching My Pictures. You can resize pictures using Photobucket and there are instructions if you have a look at the FAQ section "How to use the forum" half way down the main forum page but if you have problems resizing, send me a PM and I'll help you out .

I had a go at putting the picture on snap fish as I have an account with them, but had a problem locating the url that needed to be copied to the avatar section

 

I'd love you to try and sort our my problem, do you have a pm for me to send it to ?

Ooops...I can see the pm icon now but when I try to attach the picture I still don't know the URL and I don't think that there is an attachment paperclip icon I can use in a pm to send it as an attachment from my pc like you can in emails.

Don't worry - my daughter did mine - I'm hopeless! But I did manage the little cube, eggs and chickens - eventually!
