...owls?

 

I'm a wanna be falconer who has wanted to have an owl for YEARS!! When we bought our house last year it was because the garden would be big enough to house said feathery friend. People are now saying though that of late my passion is turning into an obsession. Maybe the owl handbag, having one has a 'bouquet for our recent wedding, and the frantic searching of the net for a mentor are giveaways? I don't think its an obsession, just an interest.

Apparently my dad had a pet owl when he was young! Owls are lovely they are such beauties we went to a country fair today and they had a man there who rescues owls with some of his birds, they were lovely

Went out shopping yesterday and saw some more owlie goodies which just hooted to me to buy them. Will have to sneak them into the house when OH isn't looking!!!

What's wrong with that? Before I got chickens, I read up on all the chickeny things I could find and fantasised about where I'd put the Eglu, it's called forward planning in my book!

 

Same with bees, I've been reading and thinking about it for ages before actually getting into them.

 

Go for it, there are worse hobbies to have I'm sure.

There is great guy that does a falconry display annually at the Berkshire Argricultural lambing w/e(BCA). He does days with him over the winter, my OH is definitely booking one as soon as he opens bookings end of the summer. PM me of you want details.
