I like cereal bars, but i resent paying stupid money for them

 

does anyone have a tried and tested recipe that will last (I mean not go off in 3 hours ) not much cakey stuff lasts in this house

 

I vagely remember poet talking about something, but I cant quite remember it properly

I make a recipe from HFW family cookbook which is a soft fruity flapjack flavoured with orange and lemon rind and juice, it is delish. The children take them to school because I am fed up of buying cereal bars too.

Cathy, I just make flapjacks with omega seeds and chopped dates, prunes and figs. Rosie loves them in her lunchbox and they're good for 'regularness'

just to let you know they have Doves farm' organic apple and sultana flapjack on offer in Sains at the moment, think they were £1.11 for 5

I just bought a huge box of porridge oats from Aldi so I can make those biscuits again. I use the honey missuscluck gave us from her bees and they are divine!

Really must make some cereal bars. I do buy the Aldi ones. Dont know why I dont make my own. Must try harder. We made our own rice crispie squares today with melted marshmallows.

i did the butter and no water, with honey not treacle.

 

i will be making more, might try them with dried fruits and things next
