Scramble
One of my little pekins is broody but the other has had some trouble laying, she was laying yolks but after some limestone flour she was better and were having eggs again. But know there's no eggs at all Is she okay? I' know that pekins don't lay very often but it's been a week since we've had an egg, one's broody so I would only expect maybe 2 or maybe 3. She's eating and drinking and acting normally and her vents clean, is everything okay and am I just a very anxious chicken mummy? also, is Hinny the term for a chicken into a cockeral, not a true cockeral, but that the hen thinks she's one? She's always crowed a lot but she laid eggs too... I really just don't know, it's probably nothing but... you never know Or could it be worms? I'm clueless! Advice appreciated. Egluntyne
Is the broody hogging the nest box and causing her to lay eggs somewhere in the garden? Have you had a scout round and looked under shrubs etc?
