How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Well we are just going into week 3 I think. they are all in a WIR separated by chook wire..

 

They ignore each other during the day now, and have 'supervised play' for 10mins in the evenings where there is much bullying. The Old girls have bits on so they can't peck but they do jump on them....

 

Now the new girls wont come out of their pen when the gate is opened..... if I put treats down they grab them and run home!

 

Any advice???

Yes, you are doing everything right,don't worry,carry on slowly slowly & it will work out for the best in the lang run

They'll suddenly seem to get the confidence they need and then there'll be no stopping them. To a degree I let my chooks set the pace if possible, so if they want to go slow, let them!

My heavenlies have been here 7 weeks now and I'm able to let them all play out together all day, but the big girls still won't let the littlies join their gang . Every afternoon snooze and gossip is still one group of 6 and another of 3! Maybe one day ...

I've just started week 3 of mixing my 3 newbies with the 4 not so new. Didn't think it would take this long, but the 3 newbies are just that bit younger and have little confidence- the older girls just have to look at them to send them fleeing back to their annexe !

I found the divide and conquer method helped. For the last week I've been putting 2 of the older girls in with the 3 newbies- a different 2 each day,as long as the newbies outnumber the older ones they don't get stressed and the older ones ignore them, they were all in together for a while in the afternoons and the older girls would gang up to keep the newbies in a corner, but they've had all day together today and it's not been too bad, hopefully by the end of the week I'll have cracked it
