i've just been to have a chat with my mates brother and look round his workshop (ironworks), he was working on a medieval pot thingymagic that has been ordered for a new russell crowe film, he has to make all the ironworks for the film, he's also doing another set of ironworks for a new robin hood film.

it looks fab, and i just had to have a good feel of it.

i've got to go back later and take a photo.

Hi Bertie,

That's interesting - a medieval pot thingy - I wonder what his new film will be?

We used to live in Australia, and I need to go every five years to renew my permanent residency permit. When we went to Australia this February, my husband went to get us coffees at a cafe in Double Bay, Sydney, heard an unmistakable voice and it was Russell Crowe having a chat with the owner.

If anyone's interested, my husband said he was about 6'1" and has a big head :D (not in a personality way, just a large head!). Sadly, it was very hot, and I was too lazy to dash back and see for myself.

A mate of mine was an extra in Gladiator when they filmed near Farnham but didnt see much of Russell Crowe. I went to the Royal Premiere of Master and Commander a few years ago and he was there with Paul Bettany :)

I think that he is a great actor but he isnt looking as good as he did in his Maximus days. I know what you mean about him playing Robin Hood!
