emmat
Just a thought in light of the glorious sunshine we had this weekend. Do chickens like a puddle of water to dip in? I often wonder if they would like a little paddling pool or similar to splash in. Or would they just drink it? Any thoughts? Am I being crackers!? quickcluck
Hmmmmmmmm I'm no expert, but chicks do not like water as far as I know, they can even drown!! Sooooooo i'd say be careful!
Budgies
Unfortunately chickens and water aren't a good mix. I do know of a forum member who had a chicken drown in her pond. Their feathers don't have any water repelling properties, so they become heavy and take ages to dry out. That's why it's not recommended to bath them and leave them to drip dry on any day other than a warm bright one.
emmat
Fair do's - thought I'd ask as some people say their girls love a bath but I can imagine all hell let loose if I tried to blow dry mine! Thanks chicken chaps!
WitchHazel
I can imagine all hell let loose if I tried to blow dry mine! ! You will probably very surprised. All my Girls, even the loopy ones, like having the hairdryer. I bought one especially (I let my hair dry naturally, so don't own one) which has a very cool setting.
