Cyber Chook
I'm feeling pleased with myself, as I've had An Idea I bought a 'Garden Tidy Sheet' for £3 from a well-known supermarket beginning with T (!), and when I got it home and opened it out, I realised it'd make a good sunshade for an Eglu or Cube run . Cluckingham Palace doesn't need one as it's shaded by a tree, but I thought I'd pass on the thought. It's made of that tightly woven plastic material that those giant, checked laundry bags are made of, and is in a mid-green colour, so it blends in well in the garden. It even has handles sewn in to each corner, which would make it easy to attach to the run. It's 140cm x 140cm, and you can find it in the gardening/barbecue area. Let me know if you get one Caroline

Dawn-Dave
I bought some tarpaulin sheets 140 x 140 from our local £1 shop (Felixstowe & Ipswich have them) which have made great shades for our extended run. We cable tied them through the eyelets & for £1 they are cheap enough to replace every year.
FlyingRamses
I use sailcloth cut offs which you can get on ebay, very weatherproof. Also in the summer, old silky parachute material can be used, again off ebay!!! Gives the run good shade and is very light material. mrsallen08
Oooh very clever of you! We have plenty of trees in the run which give plenty of shade plus keep the ground dry enough for perfect dustbathing! We did resort to using shower curtains as shelters last year when we had 40 days of rain! (well it felt like 40days!)

Cyber Chook
I can actually beat that bargain because my husband fits bathrooms, so we can get them for free!!! haha Well, get you P.S. Having a husband who fits bathrooms will either mean you have a lovely bathroom yourselves at home, or the other scenario of half-finished tilework, floor taken up and not yet replaced, pipes half re-positioned..... dare I ask....
