How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

I noticed a fledgling magpie in the garden earlier but left it to its own devices thinking that was the best thing to do.

 

Just heard a commotion and found it had wandered into the hen pen and Lily was pecking it. I think she has broken its wing but I was too much of a wimp to put it out of its misery (I wouldn't know how) so I've put it over the fence into the field behind.

 

Poor thing, me and my hens have just condemned it to a sad death.

'Tis a sad thing when nature is at it's worst. Years ago I witnessed a magpie attacking a baby blackbird - I did rescue it, but it died of it's injuries, but it didn't stop me liking the birds - it's just natural - they have their good sides too. Just goes to show that the pies are also vulnerable at times. Try not to beat yourself up about it.
