jennifer+simon
we know our chicks need to sort there little pecking order out but are still worried about our little sugarblossom. since we have have had them home the two warrens have been picking on her, she seems very distressed and subdued! what can i do to make it easier for her? this is normal isnt it? just a little worried as we are newbies. if the warrens come out she hides in the nest, if the warrens go in she comes flying out like a bat out of hell! thank you for any advice
Lewis
Make sure she is eating and drinking. You could put a couple of extra feeding stations so she gets a chance. It is normal yes, just sorting everything out You could get some beak bits for the 2 of them.
Egluntyne
It should sort out, but you could divide and conquer. Take one of the warrens out and leave her with the other one for a while, and then do the same with the other one. Keep doing it till they are confused....and it will give her a chance to 'bond' with the warrens individually.
quickcluck
Excellent idea!!!! A good blast with a hose also helps
Yolky
I was just looking at your other post with the pictures of the girls in and your 2 warrens look like they will be laying any day now, big red combs but your white chook has a teensy comb and looks alot younger than the warrens. I am wondering if that has anything to do with them picking on her. Perhaps a more experienced keeper would be able to say?
