Egluntyne
Dixie Chick is moulting. She looks pathetic but is still cheerful and is laying. Should I be worried about her catching cold? It never occurred to me until someone mentioned a jumper. She is not completely bald, just patchy, especially around her neck.
theherd123
does anyone fancy knitting her a little jumper to keep her warm in the chilly weeks that are coming????? Im knitting (if you can call it that!) a jumpery type of affair for my ex battery chickens that are booking into my luxury hen hotel on the 4th Nov. Im just knitting rectangles then sewing them at strategic points so legs, wings and heads can fit through! Its quite easy but im getting a friend of mine to 'cast on' and 'cast off' for me as i cant do that yet!
