Chick piccies - 3 weeks tomorrow

Recommended Posts

 My Brahmas have nowhere near that amount of feathering  Maybe I've got all boys then?:lol:

Pretty sure one is a girl - the other one could be a girl as well then :D She is feathering up but the other one is putting her to shame - eats for England as well  Two girls would be great.

Think one of the lavender araucanas is a boy, getting quite stroppy and found him having a standoff with the black ara the other day! We shall see - I really need to black to be a girl :pray:

:? I'm confused. I thought the males feathered up faster. have I got that wrong?

Lovely piccs. :D

Brahma females feather up a lot faster than the males. It might be a general thing with heavy breeds. The light breeds I can't remember, hope not as one of mine is feathering up quite quickly and seems to be more and more aggressive - pretty much think he is a boy :D (well can't have them all  ). I think the boys might feather up faster in the light breeds :eh:

I have a lovely list that I will find and put on later re this

:D
