Snowy Posted June 10, 2009 Share Posted June 10, 2009 I want to make some of these bags - some for myself and some for my christmas presents to go in this year. Have been having a look in charity shops and the like for some nice fabric and wondered - would it be ok to use old clothes, such as skirts, etc to make these? I have seen lots of pretty fabrics but wasn't sure wher it would be ok to use fabrics such as clothes? Old clothes are fine for bagmaking - make sure you choose things that are made out of non stretchy fabrics! It sells all fabrics for curtains, upholstery, dressmaking & furniture & accessories - really cheap. I shall go next week sometime. Dunelm were hopeless for fabric.
