KateG
The WIR is half built. I've just re-measured it. It is minute. The eglu is huge. I've made a big mistake. My dad will kill me if I ask for it to be re-sized. I wish I'd have laid something out so I could think the size over for a few days or weeks. gah. Janty
Dads never kill their daughters. Just revert back to childhood creeping.
Falkor
How big is it? Mine is only 9ft x 9ft and i think it is quite roomy. Although I don`t have an eglu inside mine. My four girls seem quite happy mooching about in there but they do also get to free range everyday. Remember adding perches, tables, logs etc are all "more" space. I think ANH's WIR is about 6ft x 8???? She has got LOADS of stuff in here run. There is an Eglu, school desk, bench and three chooks! Oooh there was also the scary tyre of death but that got removed! Or as Janty says do the daughter creep! Works a treat!
Ain't Nobody Here
Kate, have a look at the link in my signature . I do indeed have a very small run filled with all kinds of stuff . If all else fails, you could cry .
Redwing
Put the Eglu on the outside instead maybe?
KateG
thank you for your support and suggestions. Sadly, the daughter creep was put to good use LAST weekend when parked too closely to my dads (very precious) car and my daughter opened her door on to his, leaving a dent and a lovely red 'go faster stripe' through the middle of a bare bit of metal in his car door. Urgh. won't live that one down for a while so daren't mention my change of plans for the run Eglu on the outside is a good idea, I think I can work that one in.. The run is going to be a measley 6ftx6ft...largely due to the lack of space in my garden really. What I need are some real DIY ideas for putting 'things' in the run..things I can do with out my dad's carpentry skills really. That'd increase the useable space and make it better for the girls, wouldn't it?
Ain't Nobody Here
I'd like to extend my eglu table right to the wall so I'm always on the lookout for pallets and other bits and pieces . Although I don't know why I bother . I bet the girls will turn their beaks up at my efforts. They don't really use the little ramp (although as it only goes to the wall, I can understand why ). KateG
ANH I think your run is genius and never too far from my thoughts when I'm thinking of mine. EM- your WIR is massive in comparison
Sarahw12
Wow! I just had a look at ANH's pictures, and will be giving my girls a whole lot more stuff to climb around on now!
