Jules.
well, 4 really- £1 from ASDA, & there's a purple one & a green one too ( got to keep co-ordinated with the & ) Anyhow, it seems to be doing the trick with curbing Petra's every increasing shrieks, demanding to be let out of the run all the time when she spots us in the house, or when we are in the garden. It was either a soaking for her or else a re-homing. We couldn't cope with the din much longer
Olly
Hmm, I recall quite a bit of time spent last year sitting in the garden, cup of tea in one hand, water pistol in the other It does take them by surprise when they suddenly get doused, but if you have an evil bullying chicken it really makes you feel good! Keep at it, I found it worked, and it doesn't really do them any harm.
poachedegg
I have a pink (of course! ) water spray hanging on the cube to squirt when Poppy gets picked on - however they know when its coming now - crafty beggars!

katieadams
Ha ha we got them, and the first time my husband used one it was faulty and squirted him in the face
peggotty
Ooh, yeah, the power of the water pistol! I had so much fun with mine - sign of a deprived childhood, I expect, as I don't remember having one before. It certainly stopped the hens fighting and I still indulge myself with the odd squirt when naughty cats come to eat my timid outdoor cat's food. (If the hens haven't found it and eaten it first.... ) Long may the fun continue and hope it works!
