Yesterday there was a piece on reviving bumblebees.

If you find a cold moribund bee you should give it a little honey or sugar water.

It works

 

I found this guy "dead" on the conservatory floor this morning but a little honey and hey presto he was awake drinking it through his little proboscis.

 

 

He filled himself up and flew away.

We often do this when we find them in the garden and it usually works.

My husband is bee-obsessed - he photographs them at every opportunity - so he's a very keen bee-spotter and helper-outer!

Bit scared of bees and the kids not keen.

 

Last year we were picnic-ing in a park and my 4 year old son got stung, he screamed and shouted "its got its little claws in me", we were all laughing as he was screaming and crying.

I heard that tip and wondered if it would work....glad to know it will..we have far too many exhausted bees trying to find their way out of our conservatory for my liking so I'm pleased I might be able to help
