Feeder doors keep closing when I walk away

Hi all,

 

I would like to buy some black tarpaulin for the cube to darken it so I decide when its morning .

 

Thing is Black is expensive at over £30 and due to husbands work issues I am (trying) to tighten the reins!

 

So does anyone know where there is cheaper black tarp (i looked at tarpaflex site).

 

Or if not then...

 

Will blue be any good OR

Anyone tried the tan coloured canvas style tarp?

How about considering one of those cheap picnic blankets with the black waterproof reverse side?

I started off using a B&Q black car boot liner and bungees. The liner cost £2.00 and the bungees were from the Pound shop

 

I cut two corners of the liner and it fitted just nicely over the back of the cube.

 

However it did`t cover the side air vent so I spent another whopping £4.87 on a tarp from B&Q (green on one side and blue on the other) and used that instead.

 

Chooks were happily asleep at 7.45 this morning!

Oh yes! Meant to say that my tarp is not flush to the cube. it is "tented" by attaching it to the mesh of the WIR and staking it to the ground a few feet away from the back of the cube
