Olly Posted June 12, 2009 Share Posted June 12, 2009 Chickens are surprisingly warm, to me at any rate it was a surprise when I first handled them. Maybe those two have slightly less feathers than the others so you notice it more - or perhaps they'd just been in the sun! The Dogmother Posted June 12, 2009 Share Posted June 12, 2009 Chooks do have a higher temperature than us (they are 105deg). I find that my dark hens feel warmer too as they absorb the heat more.
