Redwing
You can get anti peck spray (Johnssons make it) from pet shops, if that doesnt work then Ukadex is the daddy of antipeck sprays but it stinks (honestly cannot stress this enough!) I have had sucess with both types in two different groups of hens but it all depends on how bad the situation is as to whether the pet shop stuff works
chocolateeclaire
Thanks, Will try the not so smelly stuff first!! Claire
kitchens
I've used this (no smell at all) and its fantastic. It's antiseptic too which is great. They stop the pecking straight away.
purplefowler
It depends how addicted they are. Elvis disliked the taste of the anti peck spray and stockholm tar, but liked feathers more I finally gave in and fitted a bumper bit last week and it is working brilliantly. Some are just more determined than others I guess.
sandyhas3chucks
no one seems to take notice of the cheap non smelling anti peck spray. It tastes just like the stuff they used to put on nails to stop nailbiters ( it doesn't wash off either )
chocolateeclaire
Thanks Guys, The smelly stuff that I brought from Ascot supplies (delivered next day) is working a treat. Little Tickety Boo already has some stubbly feathes on her bald patch!! Mind you when I first applied it she wasnt happy and kept collapsing to the ground which gave me a few heart stopping moments!!
