-sarahjayne
My Black rock hen Lottie looks the oldest out of my bunch of four She is the only one with a bright red full comb and wattles, and pale feet. Her comb is very big and flops to one side (im not sure if thats supposed to be like that though...) All my other girls have little or no combs + wattles at the moment We only got them today.. so i dont expect anything too soon but are these signs that she will be laying soon? Lottie's pale feet: http://s46.photobucket.com/albums/f129/sazzykiins/?action=view¤t=chickensz007.jpg Lottie a bit blurred but you can see her comb + wattles http://s46.photobucket.com/albums/f129/sazzykiins/?action=view¤t=chickensz009.jpg Her comb [flopping to one side] http://s46.photobucket.com/albums/f129/sazzykiins/?action=view¤t=chickensz010.jpg This is Evie, my other black rock who looks considerably younger imho http://s46.photobucket.com/albums/f129/sazzykiins/?action=view¤t=chickensz012.jpg
Chickvic
I would say that Lottie does look like she will be laying quite soon. Don't worry about her comb flopping over, she might just have a long comb. Is she crouching yet?

Ain't Nobody Here
I agree, it's quite well-developed so it shouldn't be long .

Redwing
Once they start to crouch it will usually be within the next week or so Fingers crossed for you
