PurpleHen
I started an intro to Homoeopathy course last night (note to self - must also learn how to spell Homo.... without having to check every time) - it was brill! Each session will last 2 hours and there are 8 of them. It is run by 2 local practising Homoeopaths who are also college lecturers, but very infromal. 8 students, and two of us are pregnant and due in Feb! So thank you to all of you on here - as without the various mentions of Homoeopathy for all sorts of reasons, I probably wouldn't have got interested to start with - and I'm fascinated now Just wish my DH would stop
Lesley
er.... you made me pick up the dictionary and ....... you have an extra 'o' in it (but the Oxford does say you can spell it either way ) Apart from that - the course sounds good and how helpful to find someone who is due at the same time. This forum certainly leads us in all sorts of directions doesn't it?
Karen & co.
Sounds great hope you really enjoy your course karen x
PurpleHen
er.... you made me pick up the dictionary and ....... you have an extra 'o' in it (but the Oxford does say you can spell it either way ) This is where I get confused - how many o's I copied this spelling from the course literature, so I'll try and stick with that I think.... Although Ainsworths spell it the other way.... Who knows? Probably GRD....

pepe
Snap Trish! I'm doing a 30 week course in holistic massage, which includes anatomy & physiology, I did the A&P earlier in the year but failed so hopefully I will get it this time! Its my age I'm a trained nursery nurse, so a total change for me, but is'nt it great that we have chance to do these things
Trish
I'm really loving the course but the A&P is mad. TRy this website though for the muscular system at least http://www.getbodysmart.com It's helping me get my head round things. I love learning new stuff, keeps the brain going
pepe
ps, just looked my course is 36 sessions yes the A&P is alot to learn, I have a really good book by Louise Tucker, do you use that one? plus a couple of others they recomend. I would'nt mind a cd rom, I prefer visual learning!(not too real though!) just had a quick look at the site, thanks anything to help. Trish
Our is a 24 week course, the A&P is the VTCT level three so not very in depth but deep enough for my brain. The book the college recommended is "A & P therapy basics" by Helen McGuinness. It's okay but I think the labelling is a bit out at times, or at best a bit confusing
buffie
Well done, I did a course about 6 years ago and use it all the time, the old school tends to say homoeopathy and I still spell it that way too Good luck BBx
Mel (& Paul)
So we know where to come when we are stressed out girls
PurpleHen
Before you know it - I will be looking for willing volunteers... (note "willing" - unlike DH!"
Trish
no end of willing volunteers in this house. I'm going to start charging I think, one leg massaged is worth one lot of washing up, a back massage has got to be at least a bathroom cleaning and who kow's what I'll charge when I get to whole body massage
