Did anyone watch this programme last night? It was a documentary about a dance group in London made up of people aged between 61 and 85, who had all taken up dance after retiring. They are based at Sadlers Wells and have performed all over the world.

It was truly awe-inspiring, a glorious celebration of the human body and of how there is beauty and dignity in all of us, regardless of age.

Made me want to dance, and I am very much the owner of 2 left feet!

I can't dance to save my life, but I do enjoy it & I love to see others dancing.

 

My Mum was a Ballerina, & still danced well into her 50's, mostly tap & jazz

Sadly I didn't inherit the dance gene

Just caught up with this, which I'd recorded ... what a great programme, and very inspiring. I don't know if it's repeated, but worth watching if it is. So often old people are represented as frail, vulnerable and dependent - this was a real tonic.

I didn't see it but it sounds very cool!! I hate the fact that people think that elderly people are weak and frail. I have a 97 year old great nan who still goes to 'keep fit' class!

I caught a bit of it. They just reminded me of big kids, the way they were messing about when they were mant to be going over their moves

I saw this and thought it was really inspiring. Some were as old as 84, but they were moving so well and freely..it made me think I must book in for some Yoga lessons...
