Clash City Rocker Posted June 26, 2009 Share Posted June 26, 2009 One of my ex batts has her eye completely closed. We've bathed in with warm water but I can't get the eye to open. I'm not squeamish so I've had a "good go at prising the eye open" with my fingertips, without succss. There does not appear to be any damage around the eye. The other eye is completely normal. ??? You can use Infected Eye drops on Chickens, although it is *not licensed for use on poultry in UK......always supposing that you can get the eye open to administer it. Guest Posted June 30, 2009 Share Posted June 30, 2009 my chicken had a cloudy/swollen eye and I it was shut she looked at us sideways on and I was more concerned she would get pecked at by the others I got some chloramphenicol(antibiotic ) eyedrops **Not licensed for use on poultry in UK you can buy it over the counter and put it in twice a day..just dropped it on and it is now perfectly fine. Keep the drops in the fridge..
