Redwing Posted June 26, 2009 Share Posted June 26, 2009 The dog leapt at the cat earlier and landed on my laptop lots of the keys have sheared off and arent re-fixable Am currently typing on squidgy buttons (bits under the keys) No idea how to go about sorting it out! Ringing Samsung up directly would probably be your best first move, and they may well also be the cheapest replacement part supplier. However, some manufacturers actually sell their replacement parts at a premium, so it's also worth looking around sites such as http://www.laptopbits.co.uk/ to compare. Although there are quite a lot of bits of plastic to remove and screws to unscrew to get at the keyboard, the item itself is usually held in place by just a few screws and has just one connector, so replacing it as a whole item really isn't that difficult.
