chick wiggle
I,m so happy, today is the first day all elevan have free ranged together. Yes there was a little bit of chasing and feather pulling but really not nearly as bad as I was anticipating. We were expecting all out war! Me and my OH sat armed with water pistols and held our breath as the netting came down. Oh it was wonderful to see them all merrily pecking away together. We threw corn down and they all ate together although as it was nearly gone there was a few squabbles over the last few bits. I just want to say a big thank you to the 'introductions' bits on this forum. I followed them to the letter and so far (although I know its still early days) so good. Bedtime might be interesting tho, to see if they go to their right houses
Chickvic
Glad it's going well so far - lets hope they keep it up
dancing cloud
And did they each go to the right bed or did they swap? My Dandelion always lays her eggs in the "other" cube and will occasionally sleep in there too . The little girls have recently taken to going up the ladder into the big girls cube, usually when one of them is laying an egg - almost as if they want to know what they're up to and whether the is better than their . Nosey little blighters! I too followed the Omleteer intro code and found it all went very well. Three months on and there can still be a bit of bossing, but that basically means Hope now gets to have a go at three little girls as well as the three big girls lower than her in the pecking order - spoiled for choice. Glad it all went well for you and long may the peace continue

chick wiggle
Yes, they all went to their respective beds, amazingly All ok today too, although there is distinctly 2 flocks. Blossom who is at the bottom of the pecking order of the original 5 is now the worst behaved towards the newbies. Asserting her place as 5th I suppose. Gave them some mash and raisins tonight in 2 seperate dishes and really had to keep the oldies away from the newbies just so they could get some. But, really cant complain yet. Still waiting for abosolute harmony but hopefully that will come
