Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

Well, after having our chickens a week, they're really making themselves at home now! We let them out of the run for the 1st time on Thurs, following all the advice on here (thanks guys ) and they were out for about an hour from 8.30pm and loved it And went in really easily with a shake of the corn tub

 

We have spent most of the weekend putting their permanent area in and are really pleased with it, so thought I'd share a few pics

Spot the chickens! Having dug out most of my lobelia (see previous pic!) Penny and Dianne settled themselves in for a snooze under the bush

 

Matilda realises she is missing out on the snoozing and heads off to join them...

 

Eglu is installed

 

 

They seem happy enough and are letting us stroke them much more now and if I time it right I can pick them up without any fuss Just waiting for eggs now....

Thanks everyone We're so pleased with them, they're much tamer than we thought they'd be....and just sooo funny Hubby is shattered after all the digging though!

Thank you Now we've just about sorted the slug problem, the garden is looking much greener! The main problem now however (apart from the chickens nibbling everything, which I think goes without saying...) is that they keep helping themselves to the slug beer traps - not sure whether it is the guiness they are after or the dead slugs, but either way I think we're going to have to empty them
