Jules.
We cleaned the girls out on Thursday & in the poo in the poo tray was lots of wriggly critters I can't find the Flubenvet a forum member kindly sold me, & so today I went to see my friend Reg from Ashtons Green Poultry (other breeders are available) & he gave me some powder that only needs to put into the water once & that will teat the worms with no egg withdrawal. The girls were due to be wormed anyway as it was January when I last did them. But Reg did say it might not be worms, it could have been fly larvae instead. This seems really feasible to me, as my girls are all well & laying like little troopers. Anyone noticed fly larvae in the poo tray? I really need to clean my hens out more than once a week in this hot weather now I'm a bad chicken mummy *slaps own wrists*
