emily95
Oooh I love blackpool pleasure beach! The Avalanche is an amazing ride, and so is the steeple chase. If you want to go on Valhala, make sure you've got waterproofs! you get really wet, and you do have to queue for ages and ages. The rollercoaster is a great ride too, and I always want to go on it again and again. Oooh, take a picnic to have, because the food is really expensive, and there are a few benches around the park. I might think of some more things later.... Emily xxx
abwsco
Check on the website as quite often it's cheaper buying the wristbands in advance. Don't go for the single tickets as it will cost you a fortune. They also now charge £5 to just go in the PB so unless you're all planning on doing rides it's a dear day out. I love Valhalla and am always drenched on it Waterproofs are for wusses and the Big One is a must.

We usually have a big meet there from the forum I mod on and it's a standing joke that I get wetter than everyone else. Last time my undies didn't dry out until 10pm Good job we only live 10 minutes away.

PapaJuliet
We are planning a day out here at the end of August any hints and tips? Any rides recommended any to avoid, any tips for cheapest way to get a day out? I generally find some of the older rides cause problems with my back, particularly Wild Mouse and the one where you sit on the horse (is this Steeplechase?). This is because they have jerky changes of direction and the drops are less "cushioned". The more modern rides, like the blue one over the water pool (I'm great with the names, LOL) tend to be "smoother" and cause me less of a problem. Of course, if you don't have back problems you may ignore everything I have just said. PJ
