Lesley
I hate them Believe me - courgettes have nothing on broad beans! We harvested all the broad beans yesterday - my son picked the pods and pulled up all the plants. I had two very large buckets full. I then podded, blanched, cooled, skinned and then froze the beans. My fingers are sore - it took me from 5pm until 9.30pm to get them all done. I'm going to pick my courgettes with a face like this
Lewis
I did mine late this year so they're not ready yet. I can't wait though Last year I did them in November and just left them to get on with it and they were really good
chickencam
We had an early crop this year from an autumn sowing and at one point we had one of the big square canvas bags that the council collect garden clippings from, full of them and it took us all a good while to pod and freeze them. Courgettes are at least quick to pick and deal with, but wish me luck because I am off to the allotment in a minute to pick some veg and I have not been since Sunday, it has been a manic week, so my courgettes will be marrows after all this rain
