Has anybody ever used Adsorbex Cage Fresh in their WIR?

Recommended Posts

I just discovered a bucket of this in the shed - I used it when I kept ferrets.

The site info reads :

"For breeders of Rabbits,Cavies,Ferrets and other fur and feather animals, the 5kg Drum of Adsorbex Cage Fresh is a very economical way of finding out just how benefical it can be to have little or no smell in animal housing, no complaints from neighbours or councils and hardy any disease carrying flies and is safe even if eaten by the animals. Indeed poultry, pigeons can even benefit from eating the granules sprinkled in their bedding."

Anybody :?: before I spend more money we don't have  ...

I've not used it but, would be interested in perhaps splitting an order with others if they live close enough, as its cheaper to order more than one tub at a time.

I am in Hook, Surrey, nr Chessington and Surbiton and would happily get the order delivered here for others to come and collect if they want.

ETA- the packaging has pictures of chickens on so from that I am sure its safe to use, however, I have emailed them to double check.

I'd happily split an order with anyone close to me too! a saving of £7.83 on bulk orders ...

Why not contact the manufacturer just to be sure. :D

Is this going to be the next Omlet 'must have' product ? :D

I have already emailed them, and they confirmed that its perfectly safe for chickens :D

They sent the following reply

Hi Amanda,

Thank you for your email today. The answer to the question is yes and also beneficial too. There has been many trials world wide with the benefits of Zeolite ( Adsorbex) with Poultry with very good results.

The Adsorbex product for this purpose is the cage fresh size granule.

Regards

along with an attachement of news articles supporting this. I can't get it into this post but if people would like to read it, PM your email address and I will forward it on. :D

Where are you in Somerset? My parents are in Somerset and we shall be visiting them at some point over the summer holidays.
