Lesley
How exciting! - I was hoping to plan something like that for my Mum in Anglesey as she's always wanted to do it.....but she's had two falls recently and broken her shoulder - best not arrange anything after looking at that photo! Seagazer
Wow that looks exciting. How did you manage to do that? Were the men all looking worried or are they all serious chappies?
Old Speckled Hen
It was a Mountain Rescue exercise and the serious chaps are listening to a briefing. Hubby in the middle. The RAF came from Bulmer(the pilot was a girl) and we all played with the SeaKing for four hours, mainly winching men and dogs. Lots of the guys have plenty of rescue helicopter experience and it was an exercise really for those that hadn't but everybody had a go. I was amazed at how enigmatically the search dogs took it all what with the noise and the downdraught that nearly knocks you over. It all happened on a local sports field and all the neighbours came to look at first . The kids loved it.
