Cinnamon
Did you all see the end piece of Top Gear this week, which was also the end of the current series? How odd was that? There was chat on the radio this morning about it maybe signifying the end of the show altogether,or Clarksons departure The haunting music is 'The Ending'by Brian Eno............................ I thought it was beautifully shot as always, & very nicely done, but so different in tone to their usual end pieces. And so short too. clootie
I thought it was a briiliant ending, very moving. I often wonder how they can come up with new and even better ideas for the show and I thought the writers did a brilliant job. The impact in my opinion was amazing and funnily enough, I was only talking about it this morning. The fact that Jezza never usually stops talking or coming up with barbed comments made this ending all the more poignant as it was shot in almost complete silence. It spoke volumes about the car he was driving and his passion not only for it, but for what it stands for. Maybe it's just me *shrugs*
Cinnamon
Oh no Clootie, its not - that is how I felt about it too. It was a stunning ending, but people are reading it to mean more than that, because it was so vastly different from their usual style
chickric
A fantastic piece of TV, hope its not the end of Top Gear, love the show. That would be my dream car if we won a very lot on the lottery, but Chickvic says NO!

Chickvic
Very strange ending indeed If we ever win the lottery Clootie and he gets one we'll let you have a drive!
Joojoo
Yeah it was a very strange ending, but I don't think that's the end all together as there was an article I read last month that said they are recreating the famous scene from the Italian Job where they race the minis down the sewers. Apparently it's all being set up ready in the new sewers that are being built in Belfast Unless they do it as a one off I can't see Top Gear being stopped despite naughty Jezza He cracks me up and I know that's probably not the most politically correct thing to admit to, but he really does. Was it just me that laughed like a mad woman at some of their adverts on Sunday I loved their spoof one on the old VW Golf ad. Just brilliant Can I have a drive too please Chickvic? Beautiful, beautiful car
chickencam
The whole programme had a slightly odd feel to it, like what was that advertising piece all about. James May did say in an interview earlier this year that it couldn't go on forever because they were all getting a bit long in the tooth, but I am sure that they normally bring it back in the summer then have a short break then come back in late September for another short run, but who knows after that....
