4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Hi, well I only got my speckledy hen yesterday morning. I noticed at around 12:30 today she was making a nest. I tried to watch her lay an egg, but she was ages so I thought she was only making the nest. Anyway, when I got home at 2pm there was an egg on the floor! I couldn't believe it. I cooked it and ate it straight away. It was delicious. More delicious than the free range eggs I normally buy and it had a large yolk and creamy white. It was very small though!

our girls have been laying since 19 july and there have only been 2 normal 'shop size' eggs in about 40 eggs but the are all around 45 g now as opposed to 35g in the ist weeks

Thankssss! Second egg Thurs which was slightly bigger, then no egg Friday and a beauty on Saturday! Same size as the large eggs and it was a double yolker!
