He has been trying to help me with a hyperactive chicken who is now in solitary after biting her coop mates. I can not let my chickens freerange for more than a couple of hours a day as i have to be with them. ( foxes ). Now sadley i need to find Ethel, a lovely Bovan Nera a new home. She is only 25wks old and a very good layer, friendly to humans although bossy. Can anyone help ? We live in southfields, london. I do not have transport so anyone who can give her a home whould have to collect. Regards to all a very sad jomeena Very glad to say Ethel now has a new home and i was told a nice boyfriend too. I have moved this to the Chicken section rather than to the Free to a Good Home for the time being. Have you considered putting a bumperbit on her? Or spraying the victims with antipeck spray? Separating her is a good idea......and after a week or so, and with a bumper bit on, she will have lost her dominant position in the flock.
