Just got back from a weekend in London. We went to see The Lion King show. It was absolutely amazing. The puppetry and costumes are out of this world. The music and dancing fantastic. The 13 year old was as enthralled as the 4 year old and I cried twice in "The Circle of Life" bit. I know it is 10 years old, so there might have been a thread before but I am on such a high I wanted to share the news!

If you want a family show you will not be disappointed.

I saw the cartoon version at the cinema in 1994 as a first date with my now husband

 

10 years to the day later we saw the musical on Broadway in New York

 

Its an amazing show and a wonderful story

It really does give you goose bumps doesn't it?

 

Last time we saw it we were quite close to the front on the end of the aisle which was excellent. I won't say anymore in case someone is about to go and see it!

Everyone who I've spoke that has seen it says it's fantastic. A goose bumpy, tearful experience. It doesn't take much for my emotions to kick in, so best take tissues galore if I ever go & see it.
