majorbloodnock Posted August 11, 2009 Share Posted August 11, 2009 Depends what sort of veg. Something soft like sliced tomato wouldn't need cooking. Something firm like asparagus will. With mushrooms, you don't need to precook, but if you do you'll get a different flavour and, therefore (in the same way roasted peppers will make for a more interesting-tasting quiche than just plain panfried), effect. Bacon (I know it's not veg) obviously will need to be precooked. Rule of thumb, though, is that the firmer the veg, the more precooking is necessary.
