stoice
I've noticed the past day or two that two of my girls have had a runny bum so will be re-administering another course of flubenvet (It's been a few months since i last did it) Also, apart from my ex-batt, Babs, laying mostly soft shelled eggs (Despite limestone flour and grit etc) my bluebelle, mabel, has been laying the occasional shell-less egg now too - another reason for a good worming methinks. I occasionally give them spice in their feed, diatom and ACV in their water. I was wondering what else do you guys give your birds to ensure they do well? Does anyone rate the stay-well stuff from verm-x? Do you buy any special vitamin supplements? Are they worth it? I know their mash/pellets should provide them nutrionally with everything they need, plus the greens they get makes them happy, I just wondered what is worth splashing out on or not to bother (Sometimes think the supplements and tonics out there are just to 'make' us buy them, playing on my soppy love for my girls!) Ain't Nobody Here
I always add poultry spice, garlic powder and bokashi bran to the pellets. I occasionally add limestone flour & cod liver oil if the shells are dodgy and I have Avipro but haven't used it yet. I tried a week of Zolcal D once to try to improve laying but it didn't make a huge difference. (I FLubenvet every 3 months too!)
moochoo
I always use Lifeguard tonic. I've found my girls' general health has really benefitted from using it, especially in the colder months and during moulting.
