katieD
hi after pondering on whether to keep my little boy (that i hoped would be a girl!) i decided to advertise him for a new home, decided it wasnt worth doing all the intros for the neighbours to then complain and him have to go anyway- hes going to keep another little belgium bantam company- so will have a nice lady friend glad hes going to a nice home, but really quite upset especially cause i raised him from a couple of days old. hes being picked up tomorrow am- think im going get my sis to look after my little girl as shes going to be devastated

Chook n Boo Mum
Would you be able to go & visit him, or would that be too hard on your little one? You have to be proud that you raised a healthy little man who is moving on to his new life...rather like letting a son go to his new wife I suppose but in a greatly shortened time scale I'd go for the "get some more" approach too if you have room and the stamina for intros, or just go into major planning mode for the new cube inhabitants in a few weeks time Sha x
sparkysmum
I know how you feel but be glad he's moving to a good new home. Be happy planning for your new ladies

katieD
thanks for your understanding- who would think chickens would be so easy to get attached to! after meeting the people hes gone to etc i felt a lot better on him going to his new home- might even have one (or 2!) of his babies evetually as they are going to use him to breed as hes a pure breed definately on to the case of some more girls when my is here! not sure how many yet? xxx
