Yesterday our suspicions were confirmed & we have Rhubarb the Rooster now renamed to Rhubster - who we will be keeping & today... we came home with 2x Black Orpington Hens + 1x Black Orp Cockerel + 1 x Marran Hen !!! Lots of people on here have experience of introducing newbies and it seems patience is the key. I'm in Oxfordshire too - Abingdon. Hope you have not just spare accomodation but acres of spare land surrounding, so your rooster is far away from your neigbours (I'd love a rooster but my neighbours wouldnt, so I can only read about the joys from others) Good Luck with them all .
