Chickendoodle
We had the same problem. Just place it as low down as you can without the spout thingys touching the ground and they can drink out of the top like a normal drinker
chickencam
My girls have had their superglug for a couple of weeks and some of them use it and some don't, we have an ordinary glug in the run too which they use as a preference. They seem to either take to it or not, I haven't gien up but I wouldn't be happy for it to be their only water source.
Sarahw12
Mine were not keen on it to begin with, so I put their old drinker up in the house for a while. I figured that that way, they could get water if they *really* needed it, but since they are none of them very keen on making unnecessary trips up the ladder, they'd also have an incentive to drink from the Superglug. After a few weeks, I was happy to stop topping up the one in the house, as I'd seen all of them drinking from the Superglug. They're fine now. docsquid
My Super Glug was not delivered with the Cube, and it arrived yesterday after they had been using an old bowl for their water. To start with they just looked at it with a "What the heck is that?" sort of look. I fiddled with the drinkers but they still didn't get it. However, Blodwyn will always peck at my fingers in the hope that I've got some chicky-treats in my hand. I held my hand down, near the Super Glug to let her start pecking at my finger, and then slowly moved my finger while she was pecking to touch the drinker. Some water came out and then she lost interest in me and was drinking away quite happily. She taught the other two and less than an hour after it going up, they are all having a wonderful time, and the garden resonates to a little clicking noise! That might be a useful trick - hold a chicky-treat, or your finger, or something else interesting near the glug and then move it until they are pecking at the drinker and get the idea. JanTheDiver
Mine never got used to the super glugs, I put them down low and they all drink out of the top of them now, getting plenty of water.
jimnpaula
I assume my ex bats had something similar as they all knew what to do with the superglug. When I got another set of grub & standard glug they prefer the standard, but then they also prefer the new (purple) grub over the red one for some reason. At least the water in the superglug stays cleaner for longer so I don't mind if they drink it slower.
