quickcluck
the flooring of the WIR?? Our run is on earth with hemcore. It's been down since may, and still look great. We put stalosan down, but should we give it a wash with a hose, I just wondered if it got dusty
C&T
You need to keep the Hemcore dry, so I would say no to hosing. We just take it all out, compost it, and put new stuff back down again.
The Dogmother
Hosing isn't a good idea - the floor of the run needs to be kept as dry as possible to stop bacteria breeding; as C&T has said, lob all the waste on the compost, dig the soil over with a mix of garden lime and Stalosan, then top with more Aubiose. Ain't Nobody Here
I agree, keep it dry . When my compost bins got full, I started putting excess hemcore & soil round the established flowerbeds. You can get rid of a lot that way!
