bed time dilema!

Recommended Posts

the chicks, now 11 weeks, mum and the big girls have been free ranging together for 5 days now there's the odd peck, usally when there's food about, but other than that all seems fine.

at bedtime, however the chicks and mum go back to their own little run and the big girls to the main coop and wir.

should i bite the bullet and get rid of the little hutch and chuck the chicks in with the big girls?

the coop is a three tier rabbit hutch penthouse thing with a seperate sleeping area on each floor.

what would you do?

Although I have never had chicks I have had 10 weekers and would advise to wait until they are POL and closer to the size of the big girls.

Plus if Mum is taking them off the the seperate house at bedtime I would follow her lead and keep them sleeping in the little house.

My babes took themselves off to bed with the big girls when they were 17 weeks.

Sorry if not the asnwer you were after :anxious:
