Guest
I have a lucky necklace - it was made for me by one of the Mums at James school who makes jewellery and also happens to be a white witch. Now I don't know if I believe any of that or not. But each to their own and I find her a very nice lady. Once when I was unwell and feeling very down she invited me round for coffee and some healing - had me leaving with a handful of crystals and I did feel brighter - but that could have just been the attention. Anyway the necklace is a ribbon with a pendant of a number of different stones which are all slightly rough, not perfectly polished. The stones were chosen for me to align my Chakras. Whenever I wear it I get great parking spaces. I had misplaced it (in my house!) but I knew I would find it again when I needed it. I was off to V today and I wanted to wear it as it looks just right for festivals. I had this VIP one day ticket that I bought for less than face value on Ebay. It had been complimentary ticket that someone had recieved and I would have to pay a £10 "donation" on arrival to exchange it for my wristband. I got to the front of the queue and people were exchanging their tickets and tenners for their wristbands - others were exchaging weekend tickets and twenties for theirs. I only had a £20 - the guy said "oh this is a £10 ticket" I said I didn't have change - he started to ask the other guys if anyone had a £10 for change and I said "it's OK by me if you keep the change and give me the other wristband" - he said "are you sure?" I said yes and he put a weekend VIP wristband on me. Now I'd just paid my £10 for my car park pass, which is good for the weekend. I live a 10 minute drive away and although I have a few things on tomorrow daytime - I'm free in the evening when Oasis are playing and now I get to go see them! I'm convinced that wearing my lucky necklace has helped. I'm so chuffed to get to do the late one tomorrow night that I left early today - I saw the Specials , caught the end of the Ting Tings and headed out. Tomorrow I'll head back about 8pm. Oh and the VIP enclosure is nothing to write home about but it does have much nicer loos with much shorter queues!
chick wiggle
Mmmm, interesting, not sure if i believe in all that stuff either but who knows, its good to keep an open mind anyway isnt it?
BeckyBoo
I've got chakra stones - they came with a little leather necklace which has fallen to bits so now I wear them on a "ribbon" well, it's actually a piece of material from an old t-shirt. A friend of mine who knows her way round these things told me to wear which ever one I was instinctively drawn towards in the morning and to make sure that they can get "re-charged" by direct sunlight when they're not being worn. And (believe it or not) I do feel better when I have one on, and if I've got the wrong one on it doesn't feel right and I have to change it. Even if they are purely psychosomatic they work for me! Guest
Its funny isn't it Becky. I think there is definatley something in crystals - they have been thought of that way for a long time. I think some of these ancient things have a lot in them - powerful happenings around stuff Some people are very frightend of it. I said to a friend that the daughter of this witch lady never comes to James's birthday party because she is "away with the faeries - literally". James is a Solstice baby - his birthday is 20th June and they are always away at a fairy festival! My friend was very disturbed and surprised that I was friendly with such people - she seemed to think there was devil worship involved. I just said to her - each to their own, let people believe in their own beliefs.

Guest
I Enjoy V today Thanks Cinnamon - oddly things have played into my hands. I couldn't have left James with Mum for another day as he is being a pickle lately. His father phoned and wanted him today (must be "his" week - I've lost track as he hasn't seen him since early July!) and cos its school holidays he wants to keep him late.... He wouldn't do this if he knew it left me free to V...... I may have got a "cheap" weekend but it's still damned expensive - even though I took a packed lunch rather than pay a TENNER for burger and chips!) and it's back to Hylands... Guest
I wasn't that fussed - meant I didn't have to stay too late as my back was aching! One of the T shirt printing places was doing a roaring trade in "Oasis are ...." T Shirts.
BeckyBoo
So how was your weekend? I have to say Oasis not playing would be cause for celebration for me - not a big fan Anyway, today I am wearing my BLUE stone, so we shall see how the day turns out! Happy Monday!
